Hot days, hot dogs

The warm weather has finally arrived and we can put away those doggie raincoats and bring out the sunglasses (or doggles as the canines would say…..)Now don’t don’t forget when preparing for a day of outside leisure, don’t forget your dog”s needs as well as your own.  A hat and sunscreen for you?  Lots of water and shade for FIDO.  Adding ice to you dog’s waterbowl is also a great idea.  It keeps the water cooler for longer on those extra hot days and some dogs LOVE licking ice.  (who knew?)  Be very careful about leaving your dog in the car when it is hot outside.   Cars heat up fast and can be very dangerous for your pets health.  If you need to run an errand make sure to crack all the windows and park your car in the shade.   Your best buddy will thank you!

 

Poo, poo to you!

Hello Yaletown, so pretty and new, too bad that your covered in designer doggy doo! 

If we can afford to live in a highrise, shop at Urban Fare, buy a sweater and booties  for our four legged friend, we can afford to buy doggie poo bags too!   Sorry if you think it is gross or ‘uncool’ to pick up poo, but if you bought a dog, it  is what you got to do!

And don’t think that the smaller the dog the less vigilant you have to be.  It doesn’t disappear faster, it is just easier to step on!
